HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT

As the Main Contractor the health and safety of our workers and the public is a top priority for JJ Rhatigan/ABM. The project traffic management plan has been implemented to date there have been no major incidents or issues. We appreciate the school parents and local publics patience in accommodating the construction traffic around the school.

The site hoarding has been installed and due to the nature of the project requires adjustment and movement from time to time. This is done in line with the site safety plan with the aim of always maintaining a safe and secure perimeter to the site. The hoarding installed on site has been be moved to accommodate the works to be completed in the next phase of works that have just commenced.

It is important that children understand that construction sites are not a safe place to play and they should not try to

enter construction sites at any time. We would appreciate parents’ assistance in getting this point across to young children.

St Canice’s school and JJ Rhatigan ABM have worked closely together to manage the movement of children around the perimeter of the construction area. The co-operation of the school is much appreciated.

JJ Rhatigan & Company is proud to support and cooperate with the Considerate Constructors Scheme to commit to care regarding the appearance of our site, respect the community in which we work, protect the environment by our methods of working and choice of design and materials, secure everyone’s safety and value our workforce. We strive to maintain the highest standards on all our projects.

UPCOMING WORKS

The first phase of works in the school were completed on the 21st March and the school have taken occupation of the building. The next phase of works have already commenced with new hoarding lines being installed, temporary accommodation removed and demolition due to commence in the coming weeks.

We apologies in advance for any inconvenience the construction activities may cause and also to thank you for your patience and consideration. Please be advised that it is our policy to ensure that all efforts be made to ensure minimal disruption to the neighbourhood for the duration of the construction period.
